Today's Weather:
Temperature: 41° F

Feels Like: 35° F
Humidity: 69%
Wind Direction: NE, 9mph

Another beautiful day in sunny Eau Claire. Temperatures are still relatively high and its a partly cloudy day. Winds are now moving from the NE which explains why we aren't receiving the cold air coming from the NW. Eau Claire is currently in free zone of zero chance of precipitation and slightly north of a low pressure zone.

Today's Weather:
Temperature: 41° F

Feels Like: 41° F
Humidity: 60%
Wind Direction: S, 2mph

Looks like the heat wave is continuing to another day. It turned out to be actually a fairly sunny day so far with a few spotty clouds here and there. Eau Claire is still receiving southerly winds which is explaining why the temperatures are still above 40° F.  The northwestern area of the US looks like they are starting to see colder temperatures again compared to yesterday. This could correlate with the cold front that is rolling through that same area. Also, looking at the surface winds, there is a clear line where the southerly winds stop because of the cold front. My prediction for tomorrow is that the temperature will be around 40° F again but we will most likely see an overcast day.

Today's Weather:
Temperature: 46° F

Feels Like: 40° F
Humidity: 41%
Wind Direction: SSW, 12mph

It is an extremely warm and sunny day in Eau Claire. The polar jet stream is carrying maritime tropical winds from the west of the country to the east side and it looks like almost the entire US is experiencing temperatures above freezing. The midwest is sort of in free zone of low and high pressure systems currently but it looks like there is a low pressure system starting to move in from the northwest which is following the patterns of the wind direction. I predict this series of lows will bring an overcast day tomorrow.

Today's Weather:
Temperature: 22° F

Feels Like: 14° F
Humidity: 56%
Wind Direction: E, 6mph

Another cloudy and cold day here in Eau Claire. Looking at the forecast,  it looks like it will start snowing later today and continue into the night. The Midwest to even down in Texas are receiving a winter storm watch.  It is crazy to think that Texas would be included in the winter storm watch but the U.S. temperature map shows that there are some pretty cold temperatures in that state right now. It looks like most of the country is feeling the cold wrath of winter except for the few states in the lower southeast.  The southeastern United States is also still unfortunately receiving a lot of rain which is causing some severe flooding.

Today's Weather:
Temperature: 11° F

Feels Like: 3° F
Humidity: 67%
Wind Direction: SW, 5mph

It is a very sunny day in Eau Claire with spotty wispy clouds and no signs of precipitation. The temperature is back to being very cold again unfortunately. It looks like the series of  low pressure systems are still sweeping the eastern side of the U.S. and bringing a lot of precipitation. The upper midwest is currently in a high pressure zone which explains the relatively clear skies today. Looking ahead, it seems like there might be some signs of precipitation heading in this general direction for tomorrow so Eau Claire might see some snow.

Today's Weather:
Temperature: 23° F

Feels Like: 15° F
Humidity: 89%
Wind Direction: W, 7mph

It is an overcast day here in Eau Claire. There was a mixture between snow, sleet, and ice from last night that made the walk to campus extremely slippery. Eau Claire is currently sitting between a sweet spot of rain and snow. There is a series of low pressure systems heading in a northeast direction of the United States that matches with the wind patterns from the polar jet stream. Looking at the temperature map, it correlates with the snow fall map at where the line between warm and freezing temperatures meet. Winds coming from the south are what is pushing the warmer rain precipitation north and causing there to be warm weather in southern Michigan but also freezing temperatures down in Oklahoma.
